Bender Sports Arena is the home of the AU Eagles. Take Metrorail's Red Line to the Tenleytown/AU station. Exit the station and take Metrobus N2 toward Farragut Square to the stop at Ward Circle & Nebraska Avenue NW. Walk a short distance east on Ward Cirlce and turn left on Massachusetts Avenue, follow Massachusetts Avenue to the entrance to American University. Turn left and continue walking to Bender Sports Arena.

Byrd Stadium - it's the first-class home of the Maryland Terrapins. Situated at the foot of the campus' North Hill, the stadium is named for Dr. H.C. Byrd, a multi-sport athlete as an undergraduate who later became head football coach and eventually served as university president. His vision gave University of Maryland preeminence among Eastern campus sports facilities for decades and the impetus for the Terrapins to win more ACC championships than any league school. Take Metrorail's Green Line to the West Hyattsville station, exit the station and take Metrobus F6 toward New Carrollton Station to the stop at Campus Drive & Library Lane. Walk 1 block north on Library Lane, turn left on Fieldhouse Drive and walk 3 blocks west.

Maryland's new student activities building and home of Maryland Athletics was completed in fall 2002. The Comcast Center provides a seating capacity of 17,950 fans for basketball, and will serve as a campus site for university special events and select community events.
The Comcast Center houses the university's athletics administration offices and include a 7,000-square-foot Academic Support Center, providing an enhanced study atmosphere for the school's nearly-700 student-athletes on 25 teams. An additional 1,500-seat gym serves as home to the Terps' volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling teams, and the Nextel Heritage Hall multi-purpose room (capacity 400) is equipped to host banquets, press conferences, large meetings and serve as a pre-game restaurant suite overlooking the competition arena.
Twenty suites provide enhanced viewing and entertainment capabilities for Maryland fans. Maryland's student seating capacity accommodates 4,000, with students ringing the first 10 rows around the floor and a majority of seats on the arena's west wall.
Comcast Center is an excellent place for alumni and fans to enjoy their favorite sports and share their common Terrapin spirit. Visitors will learn about the men and women who have made Maryland Athletics great as they stroll through the dramatic Terrapin Walk of Fame and History. And the Terrapin Team Store, located just off the soaring three-level atrium lobby, allows visitors to outfit their pride. Maryland has once again reclaimed the status of having the best student activities center and athletics home in the country.
To get to the Comcast Center, Monday through Friday, take Metrorail's Green Line to the College Park U of MD station, exit the station and take the ShuttleUM Commuter Route to the stop at Stamp Student Union Bldg; Campus Drive. At the same stop, take the ShuttleUM Park and Ride loop bus to stop #7 Comcast Center.
To get to the Comcast Center for basketball games, take Metrorail's Green Line to the College Park U of MD station, exit the station and take the ShuttleUM Basketball Game shuttle to the Comcast Center. For more information contact ShuttleUM.
FedEx Field

FedEx Field is home to the NFL Washington Redskins. On game days, shuttle bus service is available from the Landover station on Merorail's Orange Line and the Addison Road Station on the Blue Line. From these stations, you can take a shuttle bus directly to FedExField. Buses travel to and from the stadium approximately every 15 minutes. During regular season games, buses begin their service two hours before gametime and the last bus after the game departs Lot B2 two hours following the game. For Monday night games, the shuttle service runs from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. A roundtrip bus fare costs $5.00; however, this price is subject to change without notice.

In addition to being home to the NHL Washington Capitals , NBA Washington Wizards, and WNBA Washington Mystics, MCI Center hosts many other sporting events, concerts, conferences, and other events. Not the least of this impressive facilitie's amenities is it's easy accessibility by Metrorail. MCI Center is directly above the Gallery Place-Chinatown station on the Red, Yellow and Green lines.

Nationals Park
Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals baseball team, is located in Southeast Washington along the Anacostia River. The park is bounded by South Capitol Street to the west, N Street to the north, First Street to the east and Potomac Avenue to the south. Take Metro's Green line to Navy Yard station. Nationals Park is a half block from the station. The park is also accessible by Metrobus and even provides valet parking for bicycles. Oriole Park, home of the Baltimore Orioles professional baseball team, is served by subway, commuter rail, light rail, and bus service operated by the Maryland Department of Transportation's Mass Transit Administration (MTA).
From Washington, D.C.
Oriole Park can be reached via the Camden Line of MTA's MARC commuter rail, which operates between Union Station in Washington and Camden Station in Baltimore. (Camden Station is at Camden Yards.) Union Station can be reached from other points in the Washington Area via Washington's Metro System. Union Station is a stop on the Metrorail Red Line. Metrorail also connects with MARC's Camden Line at Greenbelt Station, on the Green Line.
NOTE: only regularly scheduled weekday MARC service is available. No special baseball service is provided. MARC operates Monday through Friday, and the last southbound train leaves Camden Station at 6:25 p.m. For evening games, MTA offers return bus service to Savage, Maryland, Greenbelt, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. For weekend and holiday games, MTA operates round trip bus service from the Greenbelt MARC/Metrorail Station. From Baltimore
Oriole Park can be reached by light rail, subway, and bus. The Penn Line of MTA's light rail system, which operates between Penn Station and BWI Airport, stops at Camden Yards, right next to the Oriole Park. The Charles Center Metro (subway) Station is just a few blocks from the park. (See links to system maps below.) MTA also operates park and ride lots with express bus service on game days. Sports events at George Mason University are held in the Patriot Center on the Fairfax Campus. Take Metrorail's Orange Line to the Vienna-Fairfax/GMU station. Exit the station and take any City of Fairfax CUE bus to the GMU campus. From the campus bus terminal, walk southwest along Patriot Circle to the Patriot Center. Note: Check the schedules on the City of Fairfax CUE website to make sure bus service is available at the time you plan to travel.
Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium (RFK)

Historic RFK Stadium is home to DC United, Washington D.C.'s men's professional soccer team; and Washington Freedom, Washington, D.C.'s women's professional soccer team, as well as being a popular venue for concerts and other events. RFK Stadium is easily accessible by public transportation. The Stadium is located on Metrorail's Blue and Orange Lines, at Stadium/Armory station. Georgetown University sports teams are known as the Hoyas. The men's basketball play their games in both the McDonough Arena and at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. The football, field hockey, lacrosse and soccer teams all use Kehoe Field, the artificial field atop Yates Field House. McDonough Gymnasium was built in 1951 and is named for Fr. McDonough, a Jesuit who was a former athletic director. It houses the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The athletic administration and most coach's offices are in this facility. It also houses the varsity athletes' weight room. The Yates Memorial Field House was opened in 1979 in honor of Gerard Yates, S.J. The Field House is a "modern architectural wonder" that has 150,000 square feet of recreational space built underground. Kehoe Field, a track and all-weather playing surface on its roof is home to intercollegiate, intramural, and recreational activity. Take Metrorail's Red, Orange, or Blue Line to Metro Center. Exit the station and take Metrobus D6 toward Sibley Hospital to the stop at Q Street NW and 35th Street NW. Walk 2 blocks south on 35th Street NW, turn right on O Street NW and walk 1 block west on O Street NW. Turn left on 37th Street NW, walk 2 blocks south and turn right on Prospect Street NW. Continue on Prospect Street to McDonough Arena, bear to the right between the Tennis Courts and the Soccer fields to the Yates Memorial Field House.

Smith Center's main arena seats 5,000 spectators and is the home of George Washington University men's and women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics. In 1995, both upper end zone seating areas were renovated and feature chair-back seats. In 1997, a total of 82,095 fans came to Smith Center to witness the men's and women's basketball teams combine to post a 27-5 record (18-1 for the women). Sports fans also have seen the Virginia Slims women's professional tennis tournament, a USA vs. Cuba volleyball match and the USA women's basketball national team. Take Metrorail's Orange or Blue Line to the Foggy Bottom/GWU station, exit the station and walk 1 block east on I ("Eye") Street, NW. Turn right on 22nd Street, NW and walk 2 blocks south.
